The Times catches on to indie music infographics

The New York Times sends Andrew Kuo of Earl Boykins to seven Bright Eyes concerts to do some music data-crunching.

And not only is the resultant multimedia show pretty rad, it’s a statement as well: “You think you can glance at a pie chart and decide whether or not to buy a record, but then you’re forced to work to figure it out,” says Kuo.
